How the Idea Formed!
So, I was hanging out with my dog Macie, and she gave me this judgmental look when I tried to feed her some generic kibble. I could practically hear her thinking, "What is this, a gourmet meal for astronauts?" It hit me – dogs these days are stuck with the equivalent of fast food, loaded with additives and mysterious ingredients. I mean, my dog isn't an extra in a sci-fi movie; she's just trying to live her best canine life. So, my wife and I decided to launch a dog treat/topper company that's all about getting back to the basics – like, caveman basics. Raw meat, no additives, just the good stuff. I imagine dogs in sunglasses, chomping down on raw, unadulterated goodness, looking at their processed-food-eating pals with a mix of pity and superiority. It's the doggy paleo revolution – because nothing says "I love you, Fido" like a meal fit for a wild ancestor. Macie's on board, and if her approving tail wags are any indication, it's time for dogs everywhere to ditch the fake stuff and get back to their raw, primal roots!
Contemplating my dog Macie's discerning taste and the nutritional benefits of beef liver, beef heart, and beef tongue, I was inspired to create a dog treat/topper that embodied health and nutrition for all canine companions. Recognizing the exceptional preservation qualities of freeze drying, which maintains the vital nutrients in these meats without compromising their health benefits, became the cornerstone of my endeavor. The vision was to provide a wholesome, all-natural alternative to generic dog treats loaded with additives. By combining the nutrient-rich goodness of beef liver, heart, and tongue with the gentle preservation technique of freeze drying, I aimed to offer a flavorful and nutritious canine indulgence. Macie's discerning palate and the desire to prioritize the well-being of dogs everywhere fueled the creation of a treat that not only satisfies their taste buds but also supports their overall health. It's a heartfelt venture born from the love for my own furry friend and a commitment to providing dogs with the best in every bite.
Family Partnership

Our journey began with our close family friends, 6th generation cattle ranchers, who found themselves facing a unique challenge in today's ever-evolving culinary landscape. Despite their unwavering commitment to sustainable ranching practices, they encountered a dilemma: the shifting tastes of consumers had led to a decline in demand for organ meats such as beef liver, heart, and tongue—once cherished staples of the table.
This shift had significant repercussions, with these nutrient-rich cuts transitioning into mere byproducts in the cattle packing industry. Recognizing both the culinary potential and the pressing need to address food waste in the meat processing chain, our families decided to join forces and embark on a meaningful venture together.
Our shared vision was clear: to breathe new life into these overlooked gems and create a sustainable solution that would benefit not only our four-legged friends but also the planet. Thus, our collaboration gave rise to a range of delicious and nutritious dog treats and toppers, carefully crafted from the finest organ meats sourced directly from the ranch.

Miller Ranch Beef
The Miller Ranch is a 6th generation cattle ranch in Absarokee Montana. The Miller Ranch bulls score in the top 1/3 of the Angus breed for weaning, yearling, carcass weight, and marbling score. Our Ranch is "Beef Quality Assurance" certified for proper cattle handling and vaccination protocols. The cattle are raised on the high plains pastures in the beautiful foothills of the Beartooth Mountains near Absarokee, silage and roughage ration at Lackman Feeders in Billings, Montana. All of the feed these cattle eat is grown locally in Yellowstone and Stillwater Counties of Montana.The Miller Ranch has started a cover crop program to increase the production of the land. The ranch is focused on sustainability, stewardship of the land, being carbon negative, and most importantly of all raising the highest quality beef possible.
